Executive

Francesco Moschetta

President

Francesco is a co-founder of Gmedia Center. He holds an LLM on Human Rights and Humanitarian Law from the University of London and has been working for several years in developing countries with an Italian NGO, UNHCR, OSCE and UN-DPKO. Prior to this position, he worked as Human Rights Project Manager and he was responsible for coordinating Human Rights workshops for journalists.

Dean Marcinyshyn

Treasurer

Dean is a co-founder of Gmedia Center.  Dean currently works as Research Manager for Omnicom Media Group Estonia. His experience includes guest lecturer on Communications in the UN at the University of Business and International Studies in Geneva, consultant and training officer for WHO and UNICEF in Geneva, he was responsible for developing and contributing to new media initiatives on human rights and migration programs for a Geneva based NGO, and he has several years experience in organization strategy and development in the private sector. Dean holds a Masters of Advanced Studies in Media and Communications from UBIS in Geneva and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Studies from University of Manitoba.

Arianna Calza Bini

Secretary

Arianna is currently the Manager of the Gender and Mine Action Programme (GMAP) based in Geneva. Before joining GMAP, Arianna worked as Programme Manager and Gender Advisor at the Delegation of the European Union to Brazil; as Gender and Poverty Officer at the UNDP country office in El Salvador; and as Junior Expert and Gender Focal Point at the Delegation of the European Union to Central America. Arianna’s academic background includes a MPhil in Development Studies from IDS, UK and an advanced university degree in Economics from the University of Rome, Italy. She is fluent in English, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and Swedish, and has a good working knowledge of French.
Staff

Marco Marocco

Office Coordinator

Marco holds a degree in Economics and Business Management from the University of Rome La Sapienza and a master in International Trade obtained in Milan in 1991. Marco is a Certified Internal Auditor with extensive experience as a professional trainer and support to small enterprises (export related services, quality systems and certifications). Marco worked in auditing capacities for 10 years and with financial control responsibilities with multinational companies in both manufacturing and service sectors. Marco also worked temporarily for UNHCR with field missions in West Africa and the Balkans.

Marco is fluent in these languages: French, English, Spanish, German, Italian (mother tongue) and has some basic knowledge of Portuguese.

Francesca Piccin

Human Rights Workshop Officer

Francesca holds a Degree in International Relations and Languages from the University of Venice. Prior to joining the Gmedia team she worked as a Project Coordinator for a The Hague based NGO “Global Human Rights Defence” where she was responsible for the coordination of European projects on human rights education. She was also in charge of the organization and coordination of various workshops, seminars and conferences at a national and international level on human rights, youth empowerment and engagement.

She fluently speaks Italian, English, Portuguese and Norwegian and has a good knowledge of French and Swedish.

Chiara Petrucci

Intern

Chiara is an undergraduate student majoring in Political Science, International Relations and Human Rights, in the college of Political Science at the University of Padua in Italy. Prior to beginning these studies, she has lived in Brazil for two years, where she worked in educational programs - as an Italian and Spanish teacher - and collaborated with Caritas Italia in its social assistance programs.

She speaks fluently Italian, English, Spanish and Portuguese and has a working knowledge of German.

Caroline Vieira Neto

Partnership Officer

Caroline has extensive experience with international trade development. She has worked mainly with the United Nations with a large number of developing countries. She is currently doing an Executive MBA in International Organizations at the University of Geneva and holds two degrees of International Relations and Negotiations Strategies from the Brazilian universities, Estácio de Sá and Candido Mendes.

Wanjohi Kabukuru

Expert Journalist

Wanjohi is a multiple award winning international journalist and is a former editor of “Zwazo” magazine, in Seychelles. Wanjohi is the Eastern African correspondent for IC Publications who publish “African Business” and “New African” the oldest English language, pan-African monthly magazines published in London and distributed in over 100 countries. He also writes for the UN’s “Africa Renewal” and “Diplomat East Africa”, the leading East African regional diplomatic affairs magazine. He is an investigative reporter specializing on human rights and environmental affairs and a member of several international professional media bodies and a media researcher.

Eric Lemus

Expert Journalist

Eric Lemus is freelance journalist with over 15 years of professional experience. He is currently a BBC Mundo and Xinhua News Agency correspondent from El Salvador. He has collaborated in various journalism conferences, next to writers as Ryszard Kapunscinski and chaired by writers as Gabriel García Márquez. He is now investigating on Salvadorian gangs and concluding a book on violence portraits on this same topic. His areas of work are human rights, social development and migration in Central America.
